holidays are hectic! but i have to share this awesome video of this new band i'm digging OK go. enjoy =)

i thrift therefore i am

yesterday was a good day to go thriftstore shopping...but before i show off my finds, i just wanna say a big overdue THANK YOU to my friend matet for my pasalubong from the philippines (my dad came back last month so yea, this is really overdue). cloud 9 and kendimint rules! it's such a rush to taste these treats again and feel the childhood memories come back. hahahha! doesn't take much to amuse me =)

now on to thrifstore finds. lia and i went to the salvation army yesterday -- it's just a few miles away from the house so vaughn spent time with his lola daisy and auntie chu while mommy takes a break from nannyhood. they had a 50% off sale on everything so... (click on pics to enlarge)

i found these beautiful ball jars for less than $1 each, it matches the old school feel of our apartment and now i have a place for all the candy i got from matet:

i also found this bag that looks like something from urban outfitters...it has amazing bead detail! a lady and i both reached for this at the same time but she graciously let me have it woohoo!

and other random stuff (that's a kid's knitting kit, lia is teaching me how to knit since i never learned from home ec...i've decided i'm gonna do something about my "uncraftiness" hahaha)
