after months of planning and preparation, vaughn's baptism is finally over and mark and i can rest easy...for another 4 months at least! it's been two weeks since the event and i'm still reveling at the fact that mark and i survived throwing such a huge party. in reality though, we really didn't do
that much, most of the work was done by mark's family and my family. but all the same, it was still stressful. i have now discovered that i actually can't be a party planner since i will probably die from nervous jitters and anxiety. i didn't count but i think around 100+ people showed up -- family and friends (cue: jaw drop here heeheehee). imagine what it would be like when we'll have our wedding. fortunately for us, we've enlisted the help of everybody around so the event went fairly smoothly...considering mark got a ticket for beating a red light when he was on his way to pick us up to go to the church [mr. cop didn't buy the whole "i'm late for my son's baptism" sob story], guests showed up 2 hours early due to invite miscommunication, there was an accident on the freeway going to the reception, etc. i was in high stress mode the whole day and i couldn't wait for it to be over. i'm so glad my family and mark's family are there to support us, and of course our friends. we couldn't have done it without you guys!
to everybody who came out and joined us for the baptism festivities, thank you very much. we really appreciate you taking time out to be a part of vaughn's special day. till next!
pictures will be up on multiply soon =)
